World Cup Bluffs #2: Honduras v. Chile, Spain v. Switzerland, South Africa v. UruguayI know what you're all thinking: Hey Dara, remember last Friday when you vowed to challenge EA Sports' integrity by claiming you could predict more accurate results than EA's 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa? And notice how its now a good bit through the World Cup but we haven't heard about this again? What's the deal brah? Well, you cynics, I was fully intending to keep this going but then I 'happened' to get into a minor car crash which required a few days recuperation. Actually, ignore those inverted commas up there. I know what you're thinking and you're wrong. Let me be clear about this: In no way do I think that EA got worried about what I was up to and had something to do with my accident. That would be cool though. So I missed a few days. Now I could go back and say what I guessed would happen in each match that I missed and play it in 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. But then you skeptics would question my integrity when I happened to get all the results exactly right, and I wouldn't want that would I? So lets take a look at the results from WCB #1 and see how I'm doing. Pretty much going to stick to footballing tradition and hand out points on a 0,1,3 basis. 3 points for the correct result and score, 1 point for the correct result and no points for messing it totally up. SOUTH AFRICA V. MEXICO URUGUAY V. FRANCE POINTS Now for today's matches. Usually I'd give a little description of how we think the matches will play out, but seeing as this post will be longer than an interview by Dave if I do, I'm just going to stick up what I think today's results will be, versus what 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa predicts. HONDURAS V. CHILE SPAIN V. SWITZERLAND SOUTH AFRICA V. URUGUAY So there we have it. 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa has predicted a lot of goals today. Let's hope so. Barring any other major inconveniences like a giant hole swallowing my house (pfft pretty unlikely right?) or something I should be back tomorrow to see how we both fare. Got an opinion?
